To enable the requirements of the clients, shareholders, the authorities, employees and suppliers to be fulfilled to optimum effect, Patiswiss AG operates a Quality Management System in accordance with the certification scheme Food Safety System Certification 22000 (FSSC 22000). FSSC 22000 was developed on the basis of the existing certification standards and covers an entire certification process for food safety. The aim of FSSC 22000 is to create a worldwide leading, independent, non-profit, OSO-based process recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), for a food safety certification scheme designed to encompass the entire supply chain.
Organic products have been enjoying steadily increasing demand over a number of years now and today are now recording the strongest relative growth rates in the food market. However, more and more consumers are not only demanding food products that are manufactured using organic raw materials, but also want the certainty of knowing that buying these products means they are making a contribution to the socio-economic development of the people in the raw materials’ countries of origin.
This emerging change in the demand for products had already prompted Patiswiss a number of years ago to seek certification for the manufacture of semi-finished products containing ‘Bio Knospe’ raw materials. Patiswiss AG has also been certificated in accordance with the Fairtrade requirements since 2009. This involves the Fairtrade standards established by Fairtrade International which promotes fair trade for the producers in the Southern countries, from raw material through to the manufacture of the end product.
Through its qualification with the corresponding certifications, Patiswiss AG is now able to supply its clients with semi-finished products and actively support them in their endeavours to achieve sustainability.
