Certification and sustainability

In order to fulfill the requirements of customers, shareholders, authorities, employees and suppliers, Patiswiss AG uses a quality management in line with the certification scheme Food Savety System Certifikation 22000. FSSC 22000 was developed on the basis of existing certification norms and it embraces a complete certification process for the safety of foodstuffs. FSSC 22000 follows a leading worldwide, independent, charitable, ISO based, process acknowledged by the Global Food Safety Initiative for safety certification of foodstuffs along the whole supply chain.

Organic products have already enjoyed increasing popularity for several years and now show the highest relative growth rates on the food product’s market. More and more consumers are not just demanding food products that are made using organic raw materials, but also want to be sure that with their purchase they are making a contribution to the socioeconomic development of the people at the raw materials point of origin. This emerging change in product demand prompted Patiswiss to achieve certifications for the manufacture of semi-finished products with organic raw materials some years ago.

Since 2009 Patiswiss has also been successfully certified according to the requirements of Fairtrade. The international Fairtrade-standard guarantees a fair commercial trade for the producers starting with the raw material until the manufacture of the end product. Thanks to these corresponding certifications Patiswiss Ltd can supply its customers with semi-finished products and support them in their efforts toward sustainability.
